Advanced (Section 2) In-Person Thursdays

The Advanced Level spans 3-4 sessions depending on the pace of each group (Advanced Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 if needed).  We will help you to expand your vocabulary, learn new tenses, master irregular verbs and participate in conversations. Our approach immerses the student into a pure Spanish environment, forcing the students to both speak and to understand spoken Spanish. You will also learn past subjunctive tenses and refine your articles and objects.

Classes run for 9 weeks and meet 1 day per week for 2 hours. 

A textbook is required, and you may purchase it from us for $55 and receive it on the first day of class or purchase it on your own using ISBN 9788419236098 Aula Internacional Plus 4: Libro del Alumno Edición Híbrida. The same book is used in Advanced Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 (no need to purchase again if you already have it).  We will buy the book back from you for $20 if you don’t write in it.

Make-up Classes: It’s no problem to miss 1 or 2 classes during the session.  Your teacher will send you homework to help you keep up.  We always review material from each previous class.  If there is space available in another class of the same level on a different day that you can attend instead, we will try our best.  However, our classes are very small and often do fill up, so please don’t count on this.   

Holiday and Weather/Emergency Policy: If a class falls on a holiday and everyone in the class agrees to hold class, we will.  If anyone in the class is not able to attend due to the holiday, the group will agree on a make-up date or the session will be extended by 1 week.  Any unforeseen circumstances, like poor weather conditions, will also require the group to agree a make-up date or extend the session by 1 week.
